The Terran Contingency (Continued)

"Captain? are you okay?" asked one of the officers. "Set a course for Umgah space NOW!" exclaimed Chris, as he pointed at the viewscreen. "Are you feeling OK, captain?" asked the same officer. "Damnit follow orders! SET COURSE!" hollered Chris, now breaking a sweat under the strain of his thoughts. The helms- man complied and set course for Umgah territiory. "What's going on! Why haven't we moved!" Asked Chirs impatiently. "We cannot, there are some Spathi and Doog ships in the way." Calmly explained the helmsman. "MOVE THEM!" ordered Chirs. "I cannot, they do not respond. Their on-board computers indicate that they are sleeping, and..." The helmsman was interrupted as he was shoved off his seat. When he got up, he saw Chirs at the controls. "You're going to hit those ships!" exclaimed the panic-stiken helmsman, as he watched the nav-array showing their position nearing that of the small group of ships. "Captain, we are going to..." SMASH! The ITS Inflictor rocked from the impact. "Sir, we are being hailed!" said the comm officer. "Whatever, there is no time! not enough time...." He continued to mumble about the Orz, and the Eternal Ones. The face of captain Witcher appeared on the viewscreen. "Just what the hell is going on!" he asked, his tone rather firm. "WE MUST head for Umgah spce Immediately! NOW!" said Chris. "We are!" replied John. "What was your initial mission?" asked Chris. "Don't change the subject, human!" angrily replied the Androsynth. "Just ask the question, you'll see my point!" Pleeded Chris. "Very well, we were sent along with 19 other fleets, mostly comprised of Troop Ships, to find the Imperital Terran Fleet's Prison Camp, which was supposed to contain you. However, you out-smarted those dumb sub-speices and took over one of their ships. 20 other "Fleets" were sent out to find the Ur-Quan Base, and destroy it. Currently, all of the other strike force, plus our own are on their way to the Ur-Quan ship's estimated location. In recent transmissions from our fleet, almost all commanders have reported being under attack from the Orz, specifically their troop-ships, in addition, we have lost Fleet 17 to ITS Ships." explained John. "What about the ITS? What are they?" asked Chris. "Well, we (The Androsynth) were working on restoring our reproductive systems, but accidentally cloned a creature that does not require sleep. As we were constantly under attack form Xudathi, we thought that this was an excellent opponent for them. These "Soldiers" were stripped of emotions, to prevent disobedience of orders, but we gave them extraordinary technological capabilites enlisted in their DNA (Which, by the way, consists of 54 strands, not 48, like humans) Our war went well, since the "Terrans" (That's what they like to be called) were programmed to have a short reproductive period, and attain adulthood in weeks. The only price for this was that the average "Terran" lived about 20 years. One day, the Xudathi stopped attacking us, and ever since, the "Terrans" go around attacking everythng for no reason. Our mistake was to restore thier reproductiveness, causing them to multiply in large numbers. Initially, they needed to reproduce quickly, since their ranks were constantly under attack, but now, with noting left to fight, they breed like rabbits aimlessly."
